Special Instructions

  • No purses, handbags, backpacks, camera bags, diaper bags, or other items that offer concealment are allowed in the visitor center or on the Memorial tour.
  • Baggage storage is not available and there are no alternatives in the local area for bag storage. If leaving items in the car, lock them in their car trunk before arriving at the parking lot. Theft of items from rental vehicles is common in Hawaii.
  • Personal cameras are allowed
  • Schedule a half day and allow at least 75 minutes for the actual tour.
  • Get there early. The complex opens at 7:30am and the first boat leaves for the memorial at 8am. You’re assigned a tour time when you're given your free ticket.
