Although this villa is small, it’s the ultimate in luxury and feels more like someone’s private mansion than it does a hotel. Since there are only thirteen suites, you may feel like you have the entire place to yourself for your honeymoon. And what a place it is with high ceilings, wood floors and fancy furnishings. The rooms are also ridiculous with marble bathrooms (that include your own steam bath), oversize beds with top-of-the-line bedding, and large windows with amazing views. The service is equally luxe: they have a private limousine service pick you up from the local airport or from Mexico City, so you’ll feel like a high roller as soon as you step off the plane.
Why You’ll Love It
The great thing about Mexico is that you can stay in luxe accomodations for half the price. So, your wallet won't quite feel the burn the way it would at first class spots elsewhere. Also, the Restaurant at Hotel Villa Maria Cristina, considered the best in the city, has an extensive wine list (from its own private cellar) and a collection of tequilas. The menu changes daily and offers both Mexican and international dishes, all prepared by the master chef.
