Getting Here
Taxi, Limo, and Shuttle Services
You are probably wondering, "What is the best way from the airport to our hotel?" Because there is so much to see and do, we recommend renting a car for at least a portion of your trip. If you won't have your rental car at the start or end of your trip, believe it or not, a limousine can be cheaper than a cab at KOA (cost is about $50-80). And unlike taxis, limo rates are fixed. Sedans are typically Lincoln Towncars - a nice option, especially if you already did the limo thing at your wedding. The cheapest option from Kona airport is a shuttle van. Some of the shuttles are on a schedule and leave at designated times. Others leave once the shuttle is full. If this matters to you, check before boarding. You can reserve an airport shuttle van, sedan or limo online at Blissport with one of our hand-picked partners when you book your hotel. Tipping: * Shuttles: if the driver helped with your bags, its appropriate to give a few bucks. * Sedans/limos: the most appropriate form of tipping is a percentage of the fare, usually around 15%.

Rental Cars
With so many things to do and see on the Big Island of Hawaii we recommend getting a rental car for at least a portion of your trip. Use Blissport's honeymoon planner to determine what you must see and when you'll need a car, based on the activities you schedule. You can reserve your rental car with Alamo when booking your hotel online through Blissport or at any other time.
