Nevis remains an unspoiled honeymoon treasure. Here you won't find a building taller than the surrounding palm trees (it's a law), strip malls, or fast food. You will relish in this laid back, friendly culture among the islands green assets: over 50 varieties of mango, mangrove lagoons, and easy sighting of whales, sea turtles, and wild monkeys. You'll even enjoy a little history tour through the old graveyards, sugar plantations and churches dating back to the 1600's.

Blissport does not currently feature any St. Kitts honeymoon destinations or resorts.

Nevis lies in the Leeward Islands of the West Indies, well below the normal East to West Caribbean hurricane path. Recently, Hurricane Omar travelled an unusual West to East trajectory and grazed the western side of the island. Overall, the island came through the storm fine and is already welcoming back visitors. The Four Seasons Resort Nevis is currently closed through to December 31, 2008, due to impacts from Hurricane Omar. The best time to vacation on either St. Kitts or Nevis is during the summer months. From June to August.

Why You’ll Love It
You'll love bagging 3,232-foot Nevis Peak by noon with time left to catch some afternoon rays or 9 holes at the award winning Robert Trent Jones golf course at the Four Seasons Resort Nevis. If you missed the official swim event in March, have your bride grab a kayak to provide you boat support as you embark on your own cross channel swim to St. Kitts. Make sure it's a double kayak so you can get back!
Why She’ll Love It
November and March honeymooners to Nevis can jump in on a triathlon event, or simply make your own. The sporty and relaxed way of life on Nevis is bound to rub off on you. Hike to view wild monkeys or snorkel to take in the calm beauty of swimming sea turtles and when you need a little cultural fix, take a stroll around the old churches, windmills, and refurbished "great" houses.
Get to Know St. Kitts and Nevis
Games and sports are part of life on the Island. Most hotels have volleyball courts on the beaches for visitors and locals. Though, cricket is the leading sport both played and watched on Nevis. Matches are played between January and mid-July. The streets on St. Nevis come alive with parades, food festivals, dancing, masquerades and more for Carnival - begins on Christmas Eve and goes until early January. Holiday brides should definitely consider a Carnival-infused, lively Nevis honeymoon vacation.
Best Booze
Down the beach from the Four Seasons Resort Nevis you'll find Sunshine. Order The Killer Bee, a rum punch and honey creation that delivers a great buzz. Order more than one and you risk a stinging hangover.
