Okay, so your favorite anecdote about southern Italy is actually a scene from True Romance. (Don’t sweat it; this is true for 63% of all men.) And while it is a classic scene, if you’d ever been to the Amalfi Coast, Dennis Hopper would’ve been the last thing on your mind. In fact, once you go to the Amalfi Coast for your honeymoon – and especially once you rent a Bentley convertible and drive the mind-blowing coastal roads – the only images in your head will be you as James freakin’ Bond and your wife as…Pussy Galore? Xenia Onatopp?

Just say the word “Italy” and your fiancée is likely to get a dreamy, faraway look in her eyes. (Sidenote: This is only a concern if she spent her junior year abroad.) But say the words Amalfi Coast and her romance meter is likely to, quite literally, explode. After all, the sky-scratching views from the towns of the Salerno province – especially Amalfi, Capri, Ravello, and Positano – are why the picture postcard was invented. Sheer cliffs, panoramic seaside views, scuba diving, hydrofoils, spas, islands, motorcycles, churches, beaches, concerts, glamour…Hell, I’ll take your wife on the honeymoon.

Located in the Italian province of Salerno, Amalfi Coast towns include Vietri sul Mare, Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Ravello, Scala, Atrani, Amalfi, Conca dei Marini, Furore, Praiano, and Positano.

Why You’ll Love It
There's lots to see and do, including the beautiful people that are attracted to this beautiful setting. (Wait, I didn't mean it like that). Going here, you just know she's going to love it and when she's happy, you're happy, my friend. Better, this is one of the best honeymoon options for the antsy guy. When you have taken in all the blue sky and relaxation one guy can stand, head out and climb Vesuvius (doable in 2-3 hours), explore the Roman ruins of Pompeii, or take her out 'till dawn. Side note for all you Jersey boys: Italy's beaches don't close at night. Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Why She’ll Love It
Like I said, Italy's Amalfi Coast scores off the charts on the romance meter. I don't care who you are, not many of her friends have had a honeymoon like this. Defiantly picturesque, the Amalfi Coast has everything she's ever dreamed of for her honeymoon: access to landmark shops of Italy's finest designers, stunning beaches and warm clear water, the cuisine and wine that make Italy, well Italy, and a huge night club scene. Don't even get me started on the cafe's, bell towers, castles, ruins, snaking roads and meandering paths that make the Amalfi Coast so dreamy.

Best Booze
In this instance I am not going to tell you what to drink - but where to drink it and when: go to the Island of Capri to any of the bars near the Punta Carena lighthouse at sunset, order anything. This is a prime opportunity for a Make It Special date - bring a small gift of jewelry, something she admired in a shop but didn't purchase, or simply write a love note and give it to her here once you have your drinks and about 10 minutes before the sun is eclipsed by the horizon.
