The Southern States of Oaxaca, Tabasco, and Chiapas show Mexico’s rich and colorful Indian history. Like the Yucatan, the South is home to some of Mexico’s most important archeological sites of Monte Alban and Mitla in Oaxaca and the Mayan city of Palenque in Chiapas. Though, it’s award winning Blissport Pick Camino Real Zaashila on Tangolunda Bay with its 500 foot free-form pool that puts the South on the map for your honeymoon. Of course we expect you’ll be as intrigued to learn about the “cloud people” that built the ancient city of Monte Alban as you are to experience the pools and beeches of Camino Real Zaashila.
Why You’ll Love It
The South is a discoverer’s paradise whether your priorities concern the ancient cities of the Mayans or the beautiful isolated bays separated by rocky hills set against the backdrop of the Sierra Madre del Sur.
Why She’ll Love It
The beaches of the South are unbelievable: white and golden sand, with turquoise and light green waters—hello, it’s Mexico at its best. In addition to the archeological sites, local towns offer shopping, dining and a splash of nightlife.

If you make some local friends - and probably not anyone from the hotel -- you might get your hands on some "cana", beer made from cane alcohol. Otherwise we suggest you stick to an ice cold Corona. They are better in Mexico.
